Art into Life

Place: IEC «Crocus Expo», Moscow

Date: October 12 - 15

Year: 2011

From October 12 to 15 the Moscow exhibition hall «Crocus-Expo» held the exhibition «Furniture Club» where Tatiana Nikitina’s Art Holding gallery together with the «Leathertouch» company presented the «Art into Life» project which was a new interpretation of vanguard art classics and at the same time a reflection of modern trends of art and design interaction.

The harmony of strict lines and local colors had inspired designers and artists to make creative experiments devoted to the Dutch artist Pete Mondrian, one of the fathers of abstractionism during the whole XX Century. Yves Saint Laurent transfers Mondrian’s rectangular ornament to the dresses, and a Brazilian painter Juarez Machado fills the Mondrian’s grid with passion of jazz dance. We present one more side of this artist’s creative energy embodiment. High-quality print on furniture fabric let a picture move to the three-dimensional space. Furniture finds a new level of contents becoming art objects, art in space of real life.

The «The Gentlewomen Garden» interior made by a famous fashion designer Tatyana Parfenova expressed other mood. Elegant embroidery, light coquettish baroque laces, and gentle color modulations. The paintings were transferred on a velvety surface with silk. The work of art created to serve people and to admire them at the same time.
